Safe Haven

FREE | Recommended for ages 12+

An immersive soundscape and visually augmented journey which will take you back to when Seale-Hayne was a military hospital during the First World War. The site was used to treat hundreds of shell shock victims and pioneering treatment was led by Arthur Hurst, whose controversial methods led to some seemingly miraculous results.

Please note there are a limited number of kit bags available in order for you to take part in the trail, however each participant will only be using them for around half an hour so should they be in use you are welcome to enjoy some time in the Bistro, visiting our artist studios or just enjoying our beautiful site.

If you are a larger group please email before your visit. Led by artists Becca and Jay from Mercurial Wrestler
