Kingsbridge Show refreshments raise over £1600 for Dame Hannahs

Wednesday 07 September 2022

Dame Hannahs staff and volunteers ran the Refreshment Tent at the Kingsbridge Show last weekend and raised an amazing £1620.50.
Thousands of visitors attended the show and there was a constant stream of people in the Refreshment Tent all day. Dame Hannahs staff and volunteers had been busy baking and cooking and there was a vast array of delicious homemade cakes, scones and savoury food. Dame Hannahs supporters Morrisons in Kingsbridge very generously donated all the milk and cream for the teas.
The money raised at the show went towards the Dame Hannahs Shower Trolley Appeal. A hydraulic shower trolley is an essential piece of equipment for the Adults with disabilities at Dame Hannahs while they are bathing or using the hydrotherapy pool.
Dame Hannahs Head of Fundraising and Retail, Daniel Burke said “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and supported us in the Refreshments Tent at the Kingsbridge Show. Every purchase of drinks, snacks and cakes has enabled us to add an additional £1620 to our Shower Trolley Appeal. We must also give massive thanks to all our volunteer team, staff and supporters who spent their time baking the goods and those who made generous donations of ingredients and supplies without whom the event would not have been such a success. A special thank you to our wonderful Ivybridge Supporter Group who ran and organised the tent so brilliantly as they do year on year. Without this dedicated group we would not have been able to raise these funds or reach out and raise awareness of our amazing local charity”.
