Duchy students sell own products at Seale-Hayne

Students with learning disabilities have been busy making beautiful greenwood products and are now selling them in the Souk at Hannahs at Seale-Hayne. The students from Duchy College are doing a City and Guilds Entry level course two days a week in “skills for working life horticulture, greenwood and enterprise” in conjunction with Hannahs.

The students have played a vital role in developing the site in the pig field at Seale-Hayne as well as re-covering the poly tunnel, making the raised beds and coppicing the trees. All their products are produced on site using the greenwood, compost and plants. All proceeds from the sales will be reinvested into the course for new tools.
