Easter fashion came to Hannahs at Seale-Hayne during Easter week. Hannahs guests had been busy in the Art Room and had created some wonderful Easter bonnets which were then modelled in a Fashion Parade in the Quad. The first prize was awarded to Marcus Dill for his stunning design.
The guests used a huge variety of materials to create some original and contemporary Easter bonnet designs including flowers and foliage, straw, feathers, papier mache and a variety of recycled pots and boxes. The designs ranged from a giant purple quality street sweet to a very tall top hat. There was a feeling of great excitement in the Quad when the guests and volunteers strutted their stuff along the catwalk and the prize winners were announced.
Hannahs Arts Generator, Rachel Farrell, said “The guests put alot of effort into their Easter bonnet designs. They were really absorbed in the activity and were all inspired by each others’ creations. It was a fun atmosphere and a feeling of healthy competition”.
