Visually impaired students create steel robot at Seale-Hayne

Students from the WESC Foundation, the Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment, have been helping Hannahs resident blacksmith Rob Hill to create a steel robot at Seale-Hayne.

Dan Lynn and Ruairi Corr work with Rob in his workshop at Seale-Hayne once a week. They decided on the Robot idea together and over the last few months have learnt how to cut, bend and form steel. Having built the metal sculpture they then started welding the parts together.

Dan Lynn said “I love coming to Seale-Hayne. We do the work but we have a laugh. I really like the quiet as our college is in a noisy part of Exeter”
