Thousands brave bad weather at Christmas Fayre

Over 3,500 festive shoppers braved the horrible weather to visit the Christmas Fayre at Seale-Hayne which raised over £30,000 for Hannahs.

Hannahs at Seale-Hayne was packed with over 90 stalls selling a huge range of gifts and the new Food Tent in the Quad proved very popular. Live entertainment was provided by Devon Rock Choir and Spectrum Music Concert Band. Meanwhile children were mesmerised by the storytelling experience on the giant bed before receiving a present from Santa.

Helpers including the Buckfastleigh and Kingsteignton Girl Guides and the Rapid Relief Team proved invaluable in helping to serve festive refreshments throughout the day as well as other key duties. Visitors of all ages were also able to take part in Christmas decoration workshops.

Over 20 Christmas trees were on display around the site, all decorated by local schoolchildren, groups, Hannahs guests and students. The trees were kindly donated by the owners of Cotley Farm, Whimple who also brought along some friendly reindeer for visitors to meet. A fun and festive time was had by all.
