Two young men from the WESC Foundation, the Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment, in Exeter have made a wonderful sound harp. Dan Lynn and Ruairi Corr have been studying metalwork at Hannahs at Seale-Hayne with resident blacksmith Rob Hills.
Rob came across a toy harp and decided it would be a good subject to work on with Dan and Ruairi in their metalwork sessions. He guided them through the different stages of metalwork during four two-hour sessions. They were then able to play their own tunes on the tubular bells. This project follows on from the memorable robot the boys made with Rob last year.
