We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist to work two days a week in the Augmentative and Alternative (AAC) Team. The team is a small, specialist multi-disciplinary team who carry out assessments and provide communication aid equipment to clients of all ages in Cornwall and Devon. The Occupational Therapist is always involved in the assessment and set up, focusing specifically on methods of access and positioning the communication aid. North Bristol NHS Trust commissions the service who in turn are commissioned by NHS England.
You would work alongside an experienced O.T and there is a larger supportive inter-disciplinary therapy team at Hannahs. We also link in with the experienced team at North Bristol Trust. There are opportunities for further training and continuing professional development
Applicants must have a relevant degree, excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with other team members. Experience of working with complex disability and communication difficulties is preferable but not essential. A car driver is essential for this role.
