Full time Registered Nurse - Adult Services

Salary: Band 5/6 in line with Agenda for Change & depending on experience & qualifications | Hours: full time - contracted 37.5 hours per week on a 4 week rota pattern covering days and weekends | Location: Hannahs at Ivybridge

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Registered Nurse to provide care and support to 30-40 residential and respite young adults. Our dynamic and expanding Adult Nursing Service are looking for a motivated professional nurse, to join our dedicated core team, in providing excellent nursing care to a group of young adults with various complex physical and learning disability needs.

The successful applicant will cover shifts covering days and weekends on a rolling 4 week Rota, with contractual hours of 37.5 hours per week. There is also the need to be able to cover waking nights as & when required.

The Ideal Registered Nurse candidate:
 Practices in a Person centred care approach
 Has the ability to communicate effectively and accurately (Both Written and Verbal)
 Is approachable and empathetic
 Will be Reliable, Flexible, and Motivated
 Will be a Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
 Has excellent nursing assessment skills
 Has a Good Understanding of Clinical terms and the use of effective observation skills
 Has the ability to delegate tasks safely and appropriately

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:
 Provide nursing care and support to our young adults, both residential and respite, to meet their daily activities of living.
 Undertaking direct nursing and general care, as required and to provide nursing support and expertise to the care support staff.
 Contribute positively to the setting and development of measurable standards of care
 Responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of care delivery
 To be part of the Nursing Team’s collective responsibility to contribute to the professional development of care support staff, encouraging the development of evidenced based practice
