Hannahs Big 250

The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust was founded in 1767 following a £10,000 legacy left by Dame Hannah Rogers, the wife of a Plymouth MP, for “the poor and unfortunate children of Plymouth”.

250 years on and the Trust now works from two sites in Ivybridge and Seale- Hayne and that relatively small amount of money in today’s terms has helped hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities over the years – what a wonderful gift that was!

Our motivation for the celebrations is based around the hugely important subject of loneliness.

A sense of belonging, fun and laughter, a listening ear, friends, respect and understanding; it’s not much to ask is it?

How can you help?

We will be launching our Big 250 campaign on 10 April and are aiming to raise £250,000 in 250 days.

  • Individuals – raise £250 by 16 December 2017
  • Companies and groups – raise £2500 by 16 December 2017

From cake sales to sky dives, fancy dress days to marathons whatever you can manage would make a huge difference to the lives of the amazing people we support.
The money raised will help to provide activities, days out, experiences, training and employment opportunities for even more children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities.
