Site Maintenance Manager

  • Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 FTE

Dame Hannah Rogers Trust is an established Charity that has been providing care and support to vulnerable people for over 250 years. Our maintenance team look after our sites in Ivybridge which include regulatory properties for our residents, offices, hydro pool and other facilities in support of our fantastic Young Adults.

The main aspects of this role are:
·Undertaking general maintenance work on all Trust property and equipment, supervising a small maintenance team
·Managing all aspects of the site, responsible for all daily and scheduled maintenance, supporting the team with any reactive situations
·Taking the lead for all relevant health & safety on the site
·Ensuring all work complies with the relevant risk assessments, safety legislation, policies and procedures, and all other regulations and code of practice.
·Managing all contractors and service contracts, together with reviewing contract performance
·Responding quickly to priority tasks, undertaking fault diagnosis and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard quickly and efficiently
·Scheduling project works, planned maintenance, prioritizing workload and scheduling for the team
·Completing all necessary documentation, including budget and performance management and recording all safety checks
·Participate in part of an out of hours on-call service for any emergency maintenance issues

We’re looking someone who is:
·Highly organised with a proven track record of managing multiple work schedules in a similar environment and a good knowledge of building trades
·Undertaken relevant building and maintenance work in a variety of trade disciplines
·Has a good understanding of health & safety regulations and practices, including COSHH
·Displays a positive “can do” attitude, self-motivated and pro-active in managing and co-ordinating the maintenance programme
·A strong team player with great communication skills
·Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
·Computer literate
