Overall Summary-
Reporting to the Finance Director your role within the Finance Team will be to assist with a wide range of financial activities, account queries and administration with focus on accuracy and attention to detail. The finance department are a supporting function to all areas of the Charity, therefore strong communication skills and the ability to communicate information to non-finance personnel is key within this role.

Key Tasks:
• Day to day financial processing using Pegasus Opera 3
• Producing, reconciling and posting of monthly transactions such as accruals, prepayments and intercompany balances
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and figures
• Multiple bank reconciliations
• Overseeing the payroll function and production of accurate reports using a variety of of platforms for processing
• Overseeing and assisting the accounts payable function and supplier payment runs
• Management and administration of accounts receivable, monitoring aged debtor status and debt collection
• Assist with year-end audit preparations
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Assist with budget management to aid business planning

Person Spec-
You will need to be approachable, helpful and understanding. This exciting position will appeal to someone with previous experience working within a Management Accountant role who can bring their existing skills and knowledge to provide support to a busy and friendly team.
You will have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to work both on your own and in a team. Experienced and competent in the use of accounting software packages, Microsoft office applications and Excel. Previous payroll experience would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
