Marjon's student Luke is doing a 10-week placement at Dame Hannahs with the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team. He is in the final year of his degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Wednesday 19 November 2025Christmas Fayre raises over £2,200
Our Christmas Fayre took place in Ivybridge last weekend and raised £2,267. Hundreds of visitors flocked to Dame Hannahs and enjoyed some early Christmas shopping and festive refreshments.

Thursday 06 November 2025Tugboats and Dolphins raise over £12,300
Tugboats and Dolphins CIC, a group of fundraisers, have raised an amazing £12,300 for Dame Hannahs. They have been fundraising all year and recently visited our adults to present their very generous cheque.

Tuesday 04 November 2025Alex becomes manager of our new shop in Plympton
Our new shop has opened on the Ridgeway in Plympton and Alex Miller is the manager. She has a lot of experience working in charity shops having worked at the Dame Hannahs shop in South Brent as well as several other charity shops over the years.

This month we were honoured to have a visit from our local MP Rebecca Smith. Our fundraising team organised a very successful Autumn Lunch and Tugboats and Dolphins have been working really hard to reach their fundraising target.

Tuesday 07 October 2025Autumn Lunch raises nearly £2000
Dame Hannahs welcomed 100 guests to their annual Autumn Lunch at Boringdon Park Golf Club recently. Everyone had a wonderful time getting together with friends and helping to raise an amazing £1,918 for the charity.

Local South West Devon MP, Rebecca Smith, paid her first ever visit to Dame Hannahs recently. She met with directors James and Wayne, and trustee Nigel, before being given a thorough tour of the site.
