Dame Hannahs celebrate VE Day 80th Anniversary

Everyone at Dame Hannahs got into the celebratory spirit to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Both staff and residents wore wonderful 1940s outfits. They sang along to wartime favourites as well as using their Makaton sign language. There was a delicious selection of patriotic cakes as well as games to play.

Dame Hannahs Communications Lead, Pippa Sale, said “At Dame Hannahs we all enjoy celebrating key dates in the calendar and the 80th anniversary of VE Day was such an important date to remember all those people who gave their lives for our country. Everyone here really enjoyed celebrating at our garden party in the glorious sunshine and there was a lovely festive atmosphere.”
