The Dame Hannah Rogers Charity [Hannahs] is delighted to announce that it has been selected as the Official Show Charity for the Devon County Show 2018.

The prestigious annual agricultural show, showcases the best of farming, food and rural life, attracting up to 90,000 visitors over the three day event held at Exeter Westpoint (May 17-19). The Devon County Show selects an official charity each year to work in partnership with and help raise awareness of its work.

Hannahs, the Devon-based charity in Ivybridge and Seale Hayne, near Newton Abbot, provides learning, care, support and fun for children and adults with a range of complex disabilities. Their holistic approach offers professional support from therapists, educationalists, expert medical staff and a care team. Hannahs is one of only five disability charities in the UK that offers this level of complex care. Fittingly for the County Show, Hannahs site at Seale-Hayne was an agricultural college for many years.

Ollie Allen, Show Secretary, Devon County Show, said
“We are proud that Hannahs is our official Show charity this year. Hannahs does wonderful work supporting some of the most vulnerable in our community and we are delighted to be able to help them. Visitors to the Show will be able to find out more about their vitally important work by visiting their stand and meeting some of those involved."

Claire Landricombe, Hannahs Corporate Fundraiser, said
“We are incredibly privileged to be selected as the Official Show Charity for 2018. This is a great opportunity to be involved in one of the South West’s most iconic events, and help raise the profile of our incredible charity in Devon. We are delighted to be given this platform to showcase our work in supporting and caring for children and young adults with complex disabilities.”
