Tesco donates £4000 to Hannahs

Staff at Tesco Lee Mill have presented a very generous donation of £4132.94 to Hannahs. They raised the money through the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme which supports local community projects such as the Hannahs Bikes for All project.

The Tesco customers voted with tokens for one of three charities during the three months leading up to Christmas. The donation help fund a wheelchair bike which will really benefit the young people at Hannahs Ivybridge. The bike will enable even the most profoundly physically disabled young person to experience the joy and freedom of being on a bike.

Hannahs Activities and Events Manager for Adult Services, Bex Marshall, said “Thanks to everyone who voted for us at Tesco Lee Mill Extra in the Community. We were presented with a cheque for a massive £4132.96 thanks to the customers’ votes towards our wheelchair bicycle! With only £1500 left to go we will be sure to get training ready for the Tour de France soon!”
