Cornish Mutual donates to Dame Hannahs

Insurance company Cornish Mutual has made a very generous donation to the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust and presented the cheque to the charity at the recent Devon County Show.
Cornish Mutual selects a charity to support at each of the three South West county shows every year. When Dame Hannahs introduced themselves to Cornish Mutual as the chosen charity for the Devon County Show in 2018, the insurance company were delighted to pledge their support for them. The company hosts a number of their Members in their marquee at the Devon County Show and they were delighted that they very generously donated over £1,000. Two Cornish Mutual staff members also helped out on the Dame Hannahs stand at the show last year.
Over the last year Cornish Mutual have raised a further £800 through fundraising activities including dress down days, bake sales and raffles. They decided to make the cheque presentation at this year’s Devon County Show.
Cornish Mutual Managing Director, Alan Goddard, said “We were delighted that our Members joined us in supporting Dame Hannahs at the Devon County Show and that their generosity helped us to raise a total of £1,800. As a mutual organisation, we are committed to playing a positive role in the communities in which we operate and this includes supporting a number of charities across the South West. Our Members clearly value the fantastic work that Dame Hannahs carries out to enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities in Devon.”
Dame Hannahs Head of Fundraising, Daniel Burke, said “We are incredibly grateful to Cornish Mutual for choosing to support Dame Hannahs at the Devon County Show and for their very generous donation. We really appreciate their support and help in raising vital funds for our young people at Dame Hannahs”.
