Tesco give garden donation to Dame Hannahs
Thursday 01 July 2021
Staff at Tesco Lee Mill, near Ivybridge have very generously donated a box of gifts for the garden project at Dame Hannahs. Their donation has really helped towards the development of the gardens in which the young adults at Dame Hannahs are all involved and really enjoy.
Over the last year, the young adults and staff at Dame Hannahs have been unable to leave the site in Ivybridge so they have focused on the gardens and worked really hard to improve and develop the different outdoor spaces. There has been the renovation of the Patio Garden, creation of the Fairy Garden, renovation of the pond and the creation and installation of bird feeders and hedgehog houses. Everyone has been involved in both feeding the wildlife as well as sowing and planting.
Bex Marshall, Activities Coordinator at Dame Hannahs, said “The biggest of thank yous to Tesco Lee Mill for their incredibly thoughtful donation for our garden project. These items have enhanced our pond and garden areas, as well as supporting our wildlife project with the bird feed and feeders! The support from Tesco Lee Mill and our local community means we can continue to enrich and empower the lives of the young adults. Tesco Lee Mill have been supporting us for years now with various different projects, which means so much to us all here at Dame Hannahs. Thank you again!”
Hannah Skelley, Services Manager, Tesco Extra Lee Mill, said “A little help can make a huge difference, and to be able to support projects like this in our local community is something we are extremely proud of. We really hope that the staff and young adults at Dame Hannah Rogers enjoy their new outdoor space”.
