Hannahs and New Key Announce New Partnership
Wednesday 19 July 2017
Within the challenging financial times faced by Hannahs and many charities alike, we have looked for new innovative partnerships to ensure the services offered at Seale-Hayne for adults with learning, physical and mental disabilities can continue with as little upheaval for those that access and rely on the community and activities as possible. We believe that New Key provide a great solution, with little disruption to what is offered, allowing the continuation of the existing venues, and support from the fantastic qualified staff, artists and musicians that are involved in making this a special place to be.
Gary Kent, Director at New Key, said “We know that Hannahs has a great reputation for high quality work within the creative arts and internships for adults with disabilities and we will be developing this further to support people to achieve realistic outcomes in their lives. The day service and internship programmes will remain at the same place with the existing staff and new staff from The Key. The team at New Key have had a presence within social care in Devon for many years and set up New Key in 2009, a supported living service. New Key support adults in their own homes in Devon and Bristol. Now in 2017 we are starting our journey into day services”
Hannah Moon, Director of Social Enterprise at Hannahs, said, “This new partnership approach to delivering services for adults with disabilities at Seale-Hayne will bring real benefits particularly to our clients and also to both Hannahs and New Key. New Key have a fantastic track record in this area, and bring with them a huge amount of enthusiasm, new ideas and innovation to grow and improve the services that are currently on offer. Everyone at Hannahs wants to ensure that this transition is as seamless as possible for all the young people, adults, parents and carers that access the services here at Seale-Hayne. We strongly believe our new approach to partnerships, such as this one with New Key, puts the Trust in a much more secure and financially viable position for the future which is good news.”
