Work for Us
Our inspirational Charity has been enriching the lives of children and young people for more than 250 years. Our holistic approach offers professional support from our therapists, educationalists, expert medical staff and a care team. We all work together to empower every person to have the most enriched and fulfilling life possible. We are a Disability Confident Employer.
Latest vacanciesAdult Services
Our residential adults live in the bungalows, Hannahwood Mews and Arthur in Park Street. Our service also supports non-residential adults too. The adults are aged 18 upwards. All the adults take part in a range of activities in Hannahwood as well as going on outings such as sailing, bushcraft at Burrator Reservoir and dog walks around Devon.
Charity Shops
We operate 8 local charity shops with 4 in Plymouth and 1 each in Ivybridge, Newton Abbot, Saltash and South Brent. These shops give Dame Hannahs a base in a number of local communities and most importantly generate much needed charitable funds for our services in Ivybridge.
Local Community
We work alongside a fantastic Fundraising team who are pivotal to raising money for the facilities in Ivybridge. They work alongside the local community and various organisations who kindly support the Trust.
Volunteers are also welcome!
Values
To provide education, training, advocacy, work opportunities, care and other support services for adults in need, their families, carers and associated professionals.
To advance the education of the public in relation to the education, training and care of persons with disabilities and other needs.
To promote research in these areas through publishing useful results and providing training to carers and associated professionals.
Support workers have fun
All of our adults are cared for by Support Workers who really are exceptional in the individualised care that they provide. We have a fun and exciting homely environment with lots of excursions to various local attractions within Devon and Cornwall.
