Roger Wing Walks for Helen and her Friends
Tuesday 28 May 2019
Dame Hannahs supporter and parent Roger Stedman has bravely signed up to do a Wing Walk in aid of the charity. Are you brave enough to join him? There are still a couple of places left for this ultimate fundraising event which takes place at Bodmin Airfield on July 2nd.
Roger Stedman is the father of Helen who has been resident at Dame Hannahs in Ivybridge for nine years. Roger lives in Plymouth and spends two days a week with Helen and her friends at Dame Hannahs. They are always out and about and going for walks as Helen loves meeting people as well as spending time together in Hannahwood Mews where Helen lives.
Roger said “Taking part in the Wing Walk was an easy decision as Dame Hannahs is a fantastic charity and a cause very close to my heart. Helen is very happy and has developed a lot since she started at Dame Hannahs. I have enjoyed spending time with her at Dame Hannahs and getting to know the other young adults and staff”.
This unique Wing Walk event will take place at Bodmin Airfield in Cornwall on the 2nd July 2019. Each Wing Walker will be asked to pledge and raise a minimum of £2,000 for Dame Hannahs. The Boeing Stearman used for this once in a lifetime opportunity event is owned and flown by an experienced wing walking pilot, Mike Dentith who has worked with celebrity wing walkers such as Philip Schofield!
